I'm a big fan of Allison Krauss, she has such a sweet voice, and she is a babe. I was channel flipping (on the tube) and came across a video on CMT of her singing a song with James Taylor. Does anybody know what album this is on? I must have missed something. Thanks.

It from the "Livin', Losin' Lovin' - Songs of the Louvin Brothers" album that was released earlier this year or late last year. It is a great CD - go out and buy it from your local record store.

Thanks commando and wodock, looks great, I'll have to pick it up!
Does anyone know if Allison is married?

Yes.

1.5 Did Alison get married?
Though I know it causes heartbreak to many males out there, Alison is indeed married. She wed Pat Bergeson, a noted session guitarist, in Nashville, November 8th, 1997. Members of US performed at the ceremeony along with the Cox Family. The two were introduced by AK's brother, Viktor. Pat and Viktor both play in Lyle Lovett's touring band.

Ahhh... but there's good news for those in lust with Allison....
She was divorced a couple of years ago. They did have one son, who must be about 4 by now. She was recently dating someone high profile, but I think that's over now... I'm drawing a blank on who it was. She's headed to the Oscars, wearing the Cinderella shoes, you'll have to see who she shows up with on the red carpet.

Thanks for straightening me out, BrownEyedGirl. That must have been why it was so hard to find info about her husband.

| I saw Allison a number of years ago in concert in Williamsport, Pa. This was before she was well know. She had long, dark hair, no makeup, long, loose clothing, BUT, what a GREAT talent. Not only was her fiddle playing just fine, but here voice was like few others that I have ever heard. So clean and clear and crisp and, just different, from most other singers. Since that time, it has been wonderful over the years to see her develop into a beautiful looking girl and still maintain the great talent that she has.

That she's a "beautiful looking girl" is just icing on the cake. In my humble opinion this is the best voice in the music business, bar none. That heavenly voice and that fiddle complement each other to produce a sound that other artists can only dream about!

She's so beautiful, and talented, and sweet...oh, yeah, what I was going to say is, she hits a note on "Ghost In This House" that can just make you cry. I think she is underrated as a singer, she is up there with the best. And she seems so vulnerable, I just want to hug her!

Zonty, don't forget to pick up the Oscar editions of the weekly entertainment magazines. They'll probably all have pics of her in the $2 million shoes on the red carpet.

They'll probably all have pics of her in the $2 million shoes on the red carpet. | And just when I was starting to worry that she wasn't the same old simple country girl I fell in love with, there's this:
| Code: | Also dripping with diamonds--on her petite feet--was singer Alison Kraus in bejeweled stilettos created by Stuart Weitzman. "He makes an Oscar shoe every year and these are it," she said. "Two million dollars worth of diamonds." Allison noted that her preps were interrupted by a quick meal of spicy chicken wings. When I joked that I thought I saw orange fingerprints on her gown, she nearly freaked. "We've gotta send this dress back! Don't say that!"

Zonty, I thought you'd like this quote from People:
"No, I am just going to take all my clothes off and do it naked." --Alison Krauss on whether she planned to change her gown between her two musical numbers.
