I am truly saddened by the death of Fine Tuning.
It was the best thing on XM. _________________ 2010 Poster of the Year!

Agree! Perhaps the only (potential?) good news here is that the freed-up bandwidth can be spread around for improved sq? We shall see.
Thanks for the memories FT XM76. |

I highly doubt any SQ improvements since they're still keeping roughly 70 music channels.
But I think it just sad to see channels like Beyond Jazz, Fine Tuning, X Country, Aguila, Fungus (even if it was a while back) getting the ax when we have about 5 channels dedicated to 1 artist/group each. Pathetic, really.
I'm hoping Fine Tuning remains online. |

| This is a sad loss. I didn't listen to FT all that much but, like Beyond Jazz & X Country, it was nice knowing I could go there when I had the urge. Those 3 (& to a lesser extent, Chrome) are the biggest losses for me, along with the expected ruining of Soul Street/Town. |

It sounded good but the musical mix never grabbed me. Won't miss it. _________________ The Greatest Rock & Roll Hits Of the 20th Century!!!!!

I didn't see it anywhere, but since FT is going, Will Ben Smith still be doing anything with Sirius XM? He truly is an asset to XM, and he hails from this neck of the woods. _________________ I need more room for my signature. 255 characters is not enough. Complaint filed. |

Haven't seen Ben Smith on the fired list so wonder what he'll be doing ? I seriously thought Fine Tuning was safe since the programmers are still around and the whole XMHD thing. Just today I heard Paul Bachmann in a artist interview say "this will be a treat for those with XM surround sound". So after Tuesday that technology is gone ? Sucks for those who bought compatible stereo tuners ... _________________ "A State of Sundays" on Electric Area SXM-52

Maybe they need to drop the technology to carve out bandwidth for the FCC handout channels (minority/educational) down the road. That kind of sucks, but it would suck even worse to lose a few more SiriusXM-programmed music channels when those outsiders' channels claim their positions in the lineup. |

| Fine Tuning was our favorite channel. I will give the new line up a shot, and I still believe Satellite Radio is a good technology, but both I and the Mrs., who rarely agree about music both liked Fine Tuning, I hope there is another eclectic channel, or I will consider canceling. I also hate to see so many really good people off the air, what a waste of talent. |

In my opinion, Fine Tuning is a huge loss. Nowhere else could you hear such an interesting mix of music. On several occasions, I'd hear something I had never heard before, like it so well and would download it.
I'd like to know who was responsible for programming Fine Tuning and, if they end up programming a channel elsewhere, I'd subscribe. |

| On many occasions we heard artists that we had never heard before on any other media. We both bought CD's because of Fine Tuning. Over the air radio is not very challenging, it's ok, it's just not interesting like Fine Tuning. Mind you Fine Tuning was not alone in introducing new music, but it was good for artists that just didn't fit in to formulaic formats. Oh the smell of Mel, what do you expect from a cretin that thinks Howard or Oprah is worth all that money, they have there place, but not in my ears. |

unless Spa will be redefined as new age/ambient/eclectic music (which would be somewhat nice), but a bit odd. _________________ 2.0 should bring back The Village, Fine Tuning, Beyond Jazz, and the like.
