It's two hours of the wild side of bluegrass! Join Ned Luberecki as he explores the world of newgrass and the more adventurous brands of bluegrass.

I recorded this at 12:01am this morning. I liked it. Played some covers, some rowdy tunes etc. If you like country music, you will probably like this.

That must have been cool. l love that sort of stuff.

I know someone put out an album of Moody Blues songs done as bluegrass music and called it Moody Bluegrass. I'm not a Moodys fan but I heard "In Your Wildest Dreams" the Moody Blues song in the Moody Bluegrass arrangement and thought it was great.

There was an album out a number of years ago that I have, it's called Pickin' on the Dead and its all Grateful Dead songs done up in bluegrass instrumental style and I thought that was cool too.

Maybe I'll have to check out Derailed.

I hesitate to even call bluegrass "country". True, a lot of country is informed by it, but the style definitely has a feel of it's own. The musicianship required to play bluegrass generally exceeds that of standard country. In a way it is to country what baroque is to classical.

imo

You might also like the two albums put out by the bluegrass/country/soul group Run C&W in the '90s: Into the Twangy-First Century and Row Vs. Wade. Some really good musicianship on display.

This is a good show-thanks for the headsup. I used to record this a few years ago and I don't remember it being nearly this good. Sort of a cross between Bluegrass & Blues. Thumbs Up
