| Every Clippers home game this season is already sold out. In other words, there are many thousands of fans who you can combine into a composite "portrait." I'll wait here until you're finished. |

| Note this day: January 23, 2012. The Clippers are in first place in the Pacific division, one game ahead of the Lakers. I don't think this has happened ever before in my lifetime, and I was born before basketball was even invented! I hope the Clippers can continue doing this well. |

| Note this day: May 13, 2012. The Clippers just beat the Memphis Grizzlies and will advance to the second round of the playoffs for only the second time in franchise history. If they can get past the San Antonio Spurs, I won't post anything here---I'll be dead from the shock! |

The Spurs' victory over the Clippers in game 2 of their playoff series was their 16th consecutive win. They've won 27 of their last 29 games. I can't see the Clippers winning even one game of this series...unless Blake Griffin suddenly becomes able to start making baskets from a distance greater than a foot and a half. |

That's what I was looking forward to...until last night when the Thunder couldn't seem to make any shots in the final six minutes of game three against the Lakers. This is the highest-scoring team of the regular season? And worse, they kept fouling Kobe Bryant, who made all 18 free throws that he attempted. I am not a Lakers fan and I'm getting a bad feeling that they could easily win three more games.
As for the Clippers, two more games to go and then their season is over. |

Well, the Clippers now have one more game left this season. After 15 minutes, they led the Spurs by twenty-four points...and proceeded to get outscored 80-46 in the next 33 minutes. They lost by a score of 96-86.
Could we talk about the possibility of the L.A. Kings winning a Stanley Cup or the possibility of I'll Have Another winning the Triple Crown? Please, let's just forget about the Clippers. I can't deal with the frustration. |

I was rooting for Griffin and the Clippers. They will improve, and be better.
I'd like to root for the Kings in the Stanley Cup finals, they look very good. |

For those of us who hate the Lakers in general and Kobe Bryant in particular, it was nice to see Oklahoma City knock them out of the playoffs. In what turned out to be the Lakers' final game of the season, Kobe kept criticizing his teammames and wringing his jersey in frustration. He scored 42 points and---no surprise here---had zero assists.
KNX 1070 NewsRadio has a poll question today: Who should the Lakers dump? There are four choices. Here are the latest results, and you can vote at http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/
Coach Mike Brown 40.16%
Andrew Bynum 24.59%
Kobe Bryant 19.67%
Pau Gasol 15.57% |

Their not going to win another championship with that group, unless they can get Phil jackson back from retirement, but isnt going to happen. _________________ Abe Vigoda is.... |

Mister fool, the Lakers' 2012 season ended with the second round of the playoffs and thousands of fans now want Mike Brown fired, but the Lakers got knocked out of the second round in the 2002-03 season and again in the 2010-11 season and nobody demanded that Phil Jackson be fired. Can you explain this?
And did you hear Metta World Peace---what an inappropriate name for such a violence-prone player!---cry and whine that the Lakers are the "best team" and they shouldn't have lost the second round? If I wasn't afraid he'd beat me up, I'd point out the obvious: the Lakers are not the best team this year. Duh! |
