Thank you Hugh Panero for not caving to these slimballs!
Joe Clayton is in bed with them...
A coalition of ministers and representatives of the National Association of Black Organizations (NABO) conducted its 14th demonstration at XM Satellite Radio headquarters in Washington D.C. yesterday.
"NABO will not tolerate corporate irresponsibility that harms our community. Circuit City sells XM Satellite Radio products. XM Sat Radio placed porn profits over the family oriented value positive Word Network. That is wrong. That reality forces NABO to take direct action against Circuit City and other retailers that market XM Satellite Radio," said NABO crisis management consultant Sam Riddle.

| If I were XM, I'd take a proactive approach to this and put out their own press releases detailing all the black channels they have and point out the fact that the real values that are at stake here are Al Sharpton's greed. Remind people XM is a pay service and it is up to the listeners to say what they want. |

| Here's an idea...let's find out which businesses support, or are supported by NABO, and let's all boycott them! It's amazing how such small groups think they have so much power. BS! |

If I were the head of XM, I wouldn't even do that. The more press releases issued, the more the news will get the idea that this is a 'big deal' when it's not. No one is going to make their decision on whether to get XM on these 'protests' anyway. |

oK next time we'll have the National Association of White Organizations (Oh jeeze, why does that sound so racist and supremecist when it's put that way...) and go hit up black radio stations, saying that they dont play white music. I mean come on, wtf!
I have family members who are black. Lots of them. Same goes for Asians, and finally Caucasians.
But n**** please, stop it with this bs that "Oh we black, we so unfortunate, please do things for us." Get the heck outta here!
XM plays gospel music, has an African channel, and other things that relates to black artists. Do you see an Asian channel? no. Do you see Asians walk the street and protest? no. Why? Because they got better things to do, like work and make money, and not waste time on irrelevant issues.
Morever, the dumb asses that marched don't even have XM suscribtions I bet. IF they did, then they can see that the African-American community has been taken care of, and supplied with channels that will please them. Hey, I listen to the gospel music, I listen to the African music too.
And | Quote: | NABO protests are focused on concerns that XM Satellite Radio programming reflects a glaring lack of positive programming options to those XM channels that glorify the cultures of violence, drugs and female debasement that is pervasive in urban America.
|
sorry NABO, that's today's world. Deal with it. There isnt a pretty world with people (no matter what their color is) where everyone is peaceful, no shootings, no drugs and hoes.

Yo, I'm pretty serious about going down there to protest the protestors next time they are there... anyone want to have some fun?
We all get our cars, pull up in front of the idiots, and start blastin' away XMLM, RAW, and anything else to piss them off and make OURSELVES heard! LEAVE XM ALONE!!! _________________ www.xmfanstore.com

Here's what I don't get... apparently among other things, NABO claims to be the "official gospel presenter of the Super Bowl" per their press release.
WTF does Gospel have to do with the Superbowl?
Guess NABO told/extorted the NFL to pay them a large sum of money so that they don't picket the stadiums... a real first-class outfit we have here. |

nothing like free press? If they make a big enough rukus maybe they'll get national coverage... Will be great for XM... sure will make it more known to those that don't otherwise know.
Might even attract MORE subscribers... i.e. if NABO thinks its bad... maybe its 'bad' and I need to jump on the bandwagon enjoy what everyone else is heralding!! _________________ SkyFi in my Infiniti FX35

Right..
People enjoy the "bad" things in life. Otherwise we wouldn't have 40 billion porn sites, and news stations that spend a whole day covering a shooting.
Sirius caved, and has cheapened its programming by adding 3 weather channels, and basically eliminating half of their original talk channels. XM obvioiusly has more class than that. I will say this -- Sirius did not have a religious channel before adding this one, although it was still a poor choice.
If those people took the time to buy XM, and actually LISTEN to what they have to offer, they would realize that XM has 4 religious channels. Just because you offer a religious service, doesn't mean it is THE religious service.
BTW, I think we should all email Lee and thank him for standing up to these 'terrorists" (well, can you think of a better name for them?) |

Dealing with the NABO on a press level is a nightmare. They always want the first say in everything. Plus, they love to hound the press if they don't see something in the news that involves them.
I really think a world without the NAN and the NABO would be a pleasant one. They stand-up for the wrong issues and when they actually make an effort, it gets really ridiculous.
I was at a prayer vigil that the NABO held in front of Charlie Ergen's house. There were five people there and they all pulled up in limos. I'm sitting there with my pad and pen waiting for a huge group. It was a joke. I think Sheffield and crew need to shut the hell up and leave corps like XM and DISH alone. Spend more time fighting the real racists.
But, that's just my opinion.
