Hi has anyone els noticed that on the Tejano chanel, they dont seam to play new songs and that they play the same songs over and over almost like a 4hour tape? I sure would like to hear,The Garcia bros., Hometown Boys,Desperadoz,JaimeY los Camacos,Eddy Gonzalez.I emailed them and got a reply saying that they take the song list from the top tejano stations and thats how they come up with whats on.But when I listen to KHCK hear something differant. |

Sorry, don't know the style. Caricia is about all I know. did you try emailing them with your playlist suggestions? Most of the stations thrive on listener feedback (except for Cafe who seem to shun it). _________________ I'm listening to.......Damn, I don't have a XMPCR yet |

| I haven't listened to that station either but what someone had suggested in their response about writing the station or requesting the song is a great idea. I request songs all the time by email and a DJ responds everytime within an hour atleast. They've always been very helpful with me. I'm very sure they can do the same for you. Enjoy it though, XM ROCKS!!!! |

I went to Tejano's homepage at:
http://www.xmradio.com/programming/channel_page.jsp?ch=93
And I don't see an e-mail address to send the station any comments. Anyone know any e-mail address??

| If anybody has the e-mail address for Tejano, please post it. The same goes for the other Latin channels. It would be nice to have a chance to either do a request or at least let them know directly how we feel about the channel. |

There is a way to let Univision Radio know how we feel about the Latin music channels. Information is found in the following thread.

There are at least six country channels and now only two latin. Not that I'm knocking country music but there seems to be a problem. I am really upset and would like to have an answer back from management!! The reason I bought this system is because it provided a Tejano Radio station which I really enjoyed listening to being that I am from Texas. This is the only access that I have to enjoy the type of music I like via a radio station. I lost the station as of Sunday 31 Jan 2004. I called XM Radio to find out what the problem was and I was surprised to hear that you no longer carry this radio station?? The reason they said that they dropped this radio station is because of low usage or not enough demand for the radio station?? I feel like I have been cheated and that I spent alot of money buying a system that does not produce what I was promised. I want my Tejano Music back!! I will write to my friends and family and let them know of this false advertisement!! I am really upset and want to know what kind of compensation you are willing to offer me?? I would like a response from management as soon as possible. I plan to make a copy of this letter and send it out on the Internet to as many people that I can contact in the Latino community. I feel that you are doing the Tejanos an injustice by yanking the radio station off the air without any prior warning to your customers!! I am awaiting a response.
Thank you, |

| I'm with you, man, it is an injustice that our Tejano 93 isn't on the air anymore, we don't have any radio stations here on Colorado that play Tejano, the only reason I bought my XM system is because, unlike Sirius, they had an all-tejano channel, now I regret I didn't get the Sirius...at least they have a Tejano program that is still on the air, kudos to Sirius. I don't think that XM care about "customer satisfaction" and "music for everybody" as they brag, aren't we Tejano fans customers that deserve that satisfaction?, we paid for our expensive systems just for that channel, now they just take it away...at least they should combine both Tejano and Mexican in one channel. In a few words: BRING OUR MUSIC BACK!!! |

I do NOT know what these programmers are thinking. . .
but the current so called LATIN channels offer ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to Southwesterners.
I bought six subscriptions for my family in the Southwest and then the programmers pulled their stunt with Latin.
They must think that Southwestern Latin is the same as Island music or the Carribean or something.
I am G O N E if they do not repair this blunder with their Latin channels.
I've written and written but of course only get form responses. They soon will only get FORM payment ... meaning NONE.
BRING
BACK
Tejano !! |

I am from south Texas and also bought my subscription for the same reason, then they discontinue the channels and I call and all they told me was that I could have my money back and that is it, no customer appreciation they DO NOT CARE! period.
I just hope somebody else could come up with the same thing like direct tv or some other company, then will see if they start caring or not, when most latin customer start moving somewhere else. |
