One final plug.
I have recently started my own Facebook group called “Lost Pop Hits (M.I.A)”. This group focuses on lost hits from the 1960’s thru 1990’s. Anyone who is a group member can post videos from You Tube and other video sharing sites. I also share custom made stations and playlists for anyone to review, as well as related websites in our “documents”. I invite to check it out if you are interested.

Some guy on youtube (maybe one of you all?) has posted some videos that include sound clips of minor hits by year that he believes should have been bigger hits. That premise is obviously debatable, but you all might have fun combing through these. Here is a sample link:

From the UK: Brian Matthew's "Sounds of the Sixties" Sat morning at 8AM..great show featuring the hits and obscurities from the UK and the US..Tony Blackburn's "Top of the Pops" featuring two countdowns in a two hour format..condensed,obviously, but a great listen from one of the great legendary personalities at 1PM Saturday afternoon. Both shows are repeated on the BBC player during the week and run on BBC Radio 2.
Atlantic Oldies or 2NG has a fine British countdown alternating between the 50s through 80s Sunday morning at 9, repeated Monday night at 8 and Thursday afternoon at 12PM
Oldies Project -.a countdown of the big hits this week in 1965 on a weekly basis, followed by two hours of new releases and hits from this week in 1966, followed by a two hour look at a certain month of a 60s year. they go in order., and I think they are in December of 1966..Sunday mornings at 6, repeated Wednesday afternoon at 1PM. All three shows run a total of six hours.
Until recently, Pop Gold radio ran a US radio station countdown Saturdays at Noon. They have been having technical issues lately.
Only comparable in depth 60s and 70s shows in the US are on SXM..Lou's 60s Satellite survey and Casey's countdowns.
Anybody know of any comprehensive, deep 60s or 70s shows on any other Internet channel? |

On WRLR 98.3: Fabulous 50's, featuring the hits of the 50's from the U.K. and U.S. Like 50s on 5 used to be! Hosted by Paul Peters and Geoff Kemp.
Swinging 60's: Playing the greatest hits of the 60's and beyond, including the MOR hits, unlike 60's on 6. Hosted by Paul Peters. _________________ Human Neuman (The FM puppet) and Jonathan Schwartz need to be taken off of 40s on 4--bring back Marlin! |

Golden Hits Radio:
"The original Golden Hits Radio features classic oldies from 1955 - 1979. We're playing your favorite oldies hits from a massive library of the greatest music ever recorded." "We have just added 500+ songs to our playlist that we have labeled as "Lost Oldies." A lost oldie is a song that was once a hit and, for whatever reason, seldom (or never) gets played on the radio."

Welcome to The Vinyl Voyage, a radio station devoted to playing original songs on original vinyl. We offer an eclectic mix of tunes from the 1960s through the 1980s.
Although music streams 24/7 on The Vinyl Voyage, we also host two original radio programs. "Adventures in Vinyl," hosted by Bruce David Janu, highlights a single K-Tel album, streamed in its entirety. "Adventures in Vinyl" brings us back to a by-gone era when music was accompanied by hiss and pops. Only now, you don't need to get up to flip the record. We'll do it for you. On Sunday mornings, you can hear "The Vinyl Brunch," three hours of commercial free eclectic music perfect for a relaxing Sunday morning.
So grab a bean bag, turn down the lights and prepare to be transported to another time.
