Today 12:00 pm ET on 70s
“Jan … Jan … Jan.” Here’s the story of a lovely lady: Our Brady girl is all grown up, and Eve Plumb is now a talented painter creating ‘50s vintage-themed still-life oils. She’ll be at the GINA Gallery in New York City on February 18 to debut her work. But first she’s dropping by to make it a Very Brady day and get groovy with her faves from the ‘70s. (2 hrs)

This week: Cheech Marin
4/22 12:00- 2:00 pm ET
The whole place is going Up In Smoke! Cheech and Chong’s raspy-voiced Chicano, Cheech Marin, swings by on his way to their West Coast gig in Bakersfield, CA (on April 23), spinning his favorite '70s tunes. He’ll give us the dope on a new DVD, a C&C animation project, and more. Hey ... why are we laughing at everything? |

| I heard Cheech play "Suavecito" by Malo, a great song which is of course not part of that channel's usual daily menu of Eagles, Earth Wind & Fire, Elton, Doobies, lather, rinse, repeat. |

Guest DJs: Randy Bachman and Fred Turner of BTO
They practically invented the power chord anthem. With hits like "Takin’ Care of Business" (that inspired Elvis to use it as his personal motto, even placing it on his tombstone), Randy Bachman and C. F. Turner helped define the 70s sound. B&T have reunited for a new album and tour, and they’re here to sample their new single "Rollin’ Along" as well as their favorite songs of the decade. “You ain’t heard nuthin’ yet!” (2 hrs) |

| Maybe with those guys there, the 70's channel will finally play "Star Baby" "Rain Dance" "Hand Me Down World" "Albert Flasher" "Hey You" and other Guess Who/BTO hits that they usually ignore. |

You ain't seen nothin' yet.
After many years of gentle prodding by music fans and industry aficionados, Randy Bachman and Fred Turner, two giants of rock n' roll, are finally back together after being apart for over 20 years.
The men at the heart of legendary band, Bachman-Turner Overdrive, are set to tour again as full-throttle rock machine, Bachman & Turner. A studio album, set for release in fall 2010, will be stocked with great new tracks - all penned by Randy Bachman and Fred Turner - that seamlessly fit among their classic rock anthems.
"I'm thrilled to be working on new music with Fred and feel a sense of excitement and anticipation," says Randy Bachman. "I feel like I'm coming full circle with a completeness that I never ever thought I'd feel again." Read more: http://www.bachmanandturner.com/btmain.php?ch=bio
The first North American single, Rollin' Along is now available for purchase on iTunes. Our brand new album will be released on September 7, 2010. |

Steve Priest of Sweet
Thurs 7/1 12:00 pm ET
“Are you ready Steve?” Yes, THAT Steve, from the opening line of "Ballroom Blitz," founding member of Sweet, the British glam era band who rocked the '70s with blockbusters like "Little Willy," "My Love Is Like Oxygen," and "Fox On Run." Steve Priest, bassist and vocalist, has reformed the band and they’re rockin’ the States on tour. Hear samples of their new album, and the guy who put "The Sweet" in Sweet! (2 hrs) |

| The 70's station should play from bto " hey you" a great track from 1974 that hit #23 i think. Also thanks for the tip about steve priest. After the death of lead singer brian connelly in 1997 and mick tucker in 2002 that left steve priest to front a us version of the sweet and andy scott to front uk version as well. Great uk pop-rock group that never got nowhere near enough credit. Those bell records artists back then were something else.Just ask dick leahy who ran the uk version of bell. |

| Just heard Dusty Street promoting this show on CV- she said they have a new album and would be playing samples from it and discussing their tour. Glad I'm recording it- should be an interesting show to listen to later after work when I'm kicked back w/cocktails. |

So it turns out almost every deejay in the US has misprounced Randy's last name for the past 40 years. He says it "Backman" like the old Mets 2nd baseman. Not Bock-man.
Who knew? |

| Not only that, but the miscue went to the next generation--I've always heard Tal Bachman's name pronounced BOCK-man. |
