I gotta admit, it's VERY hard listening to the countdown on the weekend with her heavy wheezing. When she pauses and then sucks in air every few words and you can hear the crackle in the back of her throat, my hairs literally stand on end. It's like hearing fingernails on a blackboard.
Especially when they follow her with Martha or Alan and their voices are so much clearer and youthful sounding... |

| It's one of the great mysteries of Sirius XM. I guess someone feels sorry for her. At best, she should work behind the scenes. Or they should limit her voice tracks to 5-10 seconds. When she rambles on for more than that, I gotta push that button. |

I think fingernails or whiney houston would be slightly worse than Nina.
I am surprised they actually played Jane. I have never been lucky enough to hear it on the 80s channel. Must be my time of listening. | |
I missed that he was refering to the countdown. _________________ XM subscriber since 2005/12/05:- Pioneer Airware (LIFE, wife)

Nah, she's a "name" and SXM loves names. That's the only reason Deney Terrio, Lance Bass, et al. have any employment these days. |

Yep, she's a name, or at least qualifies as one in the discount bargain-bin of celebrity that is SiriusXM.
I guess a name is more important than a voice. After all it's just radio, where sound quality is apparently not that important. |

Beyond Nina's screechy voice and nonstop bragging about how she partied with Duran Duran, etc:
Someone please teach her how to say Jon Secada's name.
Apparently she has never heard of him. She thinks he's Jon Suh-CAY-duh.
It's Suh-CAH-duh.
Duh. |
