These are the pictures of the install in my 2003 Chevy Blazer. This was one pain in the ass to install. The head unit is a Pioneer DEH-P7600MP, the tuner box is of course the GEX-P910XM, and the XM antenna is the Terk XM11. Let me know how it looks.

Looks good. I was originally going to swap the head unit out in my Jimmy but then I would lose the steering wheel controls and the Bose so I just went with the Skyfi instead.

I didn't have to worry about the steering wheel controls or the Bose system. It isn't exactly loaded with options. Crying or Very sad

Yeah, GM really cut alot out of the Blazer after 2001. Then after 2002 they really stripped them. 2001 was the last year for chrome bumpers, LT package, wheelwell trim etc. 2002 the exterior got alot plainer but you could still get leather and such. Starting in 2003 you couldn't get leather and almost everything was a seperate option. I work PT at a full line GM dealership BTW. Wink

Here's my 2001 Blazer that we traded last summer for a new 2003 Bonneville.

Here's my 00 Jimmy that I still have.

Nice Jimmy. I have the side bars and such on the Blazer also. I love the looks of the Blazers and Jimmys, its to bad there not selling and its the end of the run for them. I like the looks of them better than the Trailblazer and the Equinox, which as far as I know is the two vehicles that are replacing the Blazer.

BTW, How do you like the Bonneville, I've been looking at the Bonneville GXP or the SLE. I can't decide, I have had good luck with the 3.8, and the Northstar. I have a Buick with the 3.8 and it has 200,000 miles on it and runs like its new.

Thanks Cool My Jimmy is a "Diamond Edition" which was a limited special edition they made in 00 & 01 for the 30th Anniversary of GMC. You don't see them very often which is nice. When we drove the Blazer to the store we would almost have to hit the panic button on the remote to find which pewter Blazer was ours since there are so many in that color! The side bars and front brush guard are all part of the Diamond Edition. They have a special interior also.

Our Bonneville is the SLE model. I chose the SLE because it has the body molding like the SSEi but w/o the SC 3800. I had the SC 3800 in a GTP and it was great but it required Premium fuel which is just an extra expense I didn't need. We bought ours last May and I REALLY wanted the GXP but it wasn't available yet. I guess in deciding between the 2 models I would ask myself how long I planned to drive it. The Northstar in the GXP won't be as reliable as the 3800. We've got Caddys in the shop all the time with oil leaks etc, etc with the Northstar engine. I've driven the GXPs and I love the more aggressive look and I really love the exhaust note! I trade cars alot so I would probably get the GXP. The GXP will like gas more than the SLE also so that's something to keep in mind. Here's our SLE. It's loaded with everything including XM. Wink

Thats one nice interior in the Jimmy. Cool . I'm probably leaning toward the 3.8 in the Bonneville. I agree that the 3.8 is a more reliable engine, my Buick proves that.

Oh, and if you ever sell that Jimmy keep me in mind. Wink

Will do!

I've actually got the Bonne on Autotrader right now. I'd like to get another Jimmy or Blazer.

I saw your photos of the installation, and I'm a little concerned about your 'ground' connection on the car body with the green grounding clip - it might not be the best route - a screw hole would be better.

Wow, 2 year old post back to life! Laughing

I've since replaced my 2000 Jimmy with a 2006 Trailblazer and my 2003 Bonneville with a 2006 Malibu SS. Cool

Wow reviving a two year old thread for that?

The clip worked perfectly fine btw. I don't even have the Blazer anymore.
