The numbers are are a little hard to read, but it looks like the output level was boosted from -96dB to -72dB. A decent increase. Or maybe I'm just not seeing properly, which is likely the case...

If you look at the data up to 15KHZ. Both pretty well match up.
But for some reason the CCRANE unit had removed some signal around 1KHZ.
Above 15 KHZ you can see that CCRANE unit seems to have brought up the noise floor
from -96DB to -72DB (24DB)

True, I see it now. I basically was just looking at the cutoff point. The rest of the spectrum is about equal, like you said. Seems to be pretty good, otherwise.

Wireman... how about doing this on the Ramsey FM25 B Transmitter
What type of program are you using to doing the spectrum analyzing.
Thanks

I did the modification to the C. Crane transmitter today... MAN does it work!!! I was tempted to return it or look into some other way to pull it off but the "turning" up works like a charm. I dont even have to extend the antenna now! I used to have to pull it all the way out and still point it at may cars antenna. I dont use it for anythng but in the car so I dont know about the range increase but no more static for me!!!!

I had one of these and got at least 60+ feat w/o turning it up. I ended up selling it. Wish I'd have known about the mods before I sold it. Is 100' the max? Have you done any further distance testing?
Thanks

Other people have told me after they did the mod have gotton it to go up to 200 feet. But mine only goes to 100 feet before the signal starts to fade.
I'm not much of FM MOD fan. My kid gave me this and it was just sitting collecting dust. I then did the mod and found it went to 100 feet and now it's just sitting and collecting dust again.

Wireman. If you ever check out this topic again. Just wanted to let you know. By Turning up the CCrane Transmitter The Antenna works better if it isss up when you are farther off. Transmitting on a frequncy to a radio very close by I have found it better to turn the volume down almost to where the little red light doesn't bounce on and off. Turn the Volume on the transmitter down and the Volume of the audio source Up. It works great. I don't even need the antenna up when the radio i want to listen to is in the same room with me
