| I have had my MYFI since christmas and I love it. Heres the problem. I store 5 hours of playback audio ( The MyXm feature) on the schedule. Then, when I want to open the media, it takes well over a minute. But that is beside the point. When the stored audio finally comes on, the titles off the songs on the screen never match up with the actually song being played. This is bizzare, because it has just started happening in only the last few weeks. Any comments will be appreciated!!?? |

Common problem, the MyFi just gets confused. Clear the MyXM recordings, then open the battery cover and press the reset button for 5 seconds, let up and restart the MyFi. That should fix all your problems. _________________

I had a similar problem that I thought at the time was identical to your scenario. It seemed every song I selected didn't correspond to what was played. I figured the index was messed up and was going to reset the MyFi until I discovered something else. I realized that my list of songs was huge (about 400). This obviously is well more than the actual recorded content could possibly be. I found that the first 350 songs were "old content" that had been deleted off the MyFi and when I picked these songs it would play something else (i.e. the song was deleted to make room for newer content but the index remained). If I went to song indexes that still had content (i.e. songs after 350) it worked, as it should.
It seems like sometimes it removes the index along with the content and sometimes it doesn't. Resetting the MyFi likely will clear everything up but be prepared to lose content (so I hear…I haven’t tried this yet). |
