I dont understand. Why has Sirius come out with a portable Radio?? It takes little thought to know that XM is dooing soo much better than you, so maybe you should adapt some of their radio types.!!?? Personally, I am glad they dont have a portable radio (Like a MyFi) which, by the way, is awsome!! Very Happy Very Happy

Ummm, because it's a free country and they are trying to get people to subscribe to their service.

Why does it bother you so much that they are trying to make their business better?

Both services are great, so what if Sirius comes up with a cool radio- I have both and I can say that the new Sirius portable is better than my Myfi.... so what? Both services should try to outdo each other- its good for the customers!! GO XM & Sirius!!

Yeah, did this unversity knowitall ever think that maybe the Myfi was made to keep the advantage over Sirius? In turn , forcing Sirius to develop a similar, or *gasp* better product in turn?

Go get you degree in beer tasting and let us know when you finally think you know everything.

I have both XM and Sirius on my AVIC-D1 in my truck. They each have their advantages.

Sirius has more hit-oriented playlists, and a more natural sound, where XM has deeper playlists and more stereo seperation, however the vocals aren't as natural and the instrumentals are incorrectly emphasized in playback.

I like the overall sound of XM better, but I like Sirius's content, especially around the country stations, The Pulse, The Bridge, Starlite, Classic Vinyl, Classic Rewind, and Alt Nation.

If Sirius sounded as good to me as XM, I would prefer it. I couldn't imagine listening to Sirius through headphones... Artifacts galore!

However, I think its great that Sirius has a portable out. It doesn't matter if it isn't as nice as a MyFi, because if someone exclusively uses Sirius, it won't make a difference. If they want a portable, they'll buy it. Sirius will have a better one in time I'm sure.

The tuners I'm using to compare are the Pioneer GEX-P903XM and the Pioneer SIR-PNR1.

Sirius has the ReGO which is a portable unit. It is expected to be released mid-July.

The Rego is not a portable unit out of the box. Additional accessories must be purchased $$$ to make it wearable. You must also buy a memory card to make it MP3 capable. Take a Roady, add a flash memory slot, and 4 hour record feature, and you have the Rego.

Don't forget to make it ugly and twice the size too.
