There are so many great album covers. I know it impacts my decision, to an extent, on whether or not I buy the cd, if I don't know much about the band. For instance, the one I've posted here-I'll only post one on this post-is They Might Be Giants first cd. I had only heard 'Don't Let's Start,' but I liked the album, so I took a chance. It was a favorite of mine, as well as the band, for a couple of years. There's so much going on in the picture-a lot of fun. Being a dumb kid, it took me a day or two to get the joke under their long distance dial-a-song number:"Free When You Call From Work." I used to save my quarters and call at school. Here's another great one! It's Talking Heads' "Liittle Creatures." The cover was done by Reverend Howard Finster. He did work for REM, too. this was the original album cover for what was in my opinion the greatest band ever. _________________ Help Portrait, photographers giving back to the community I love Apple, and I drink the Apple Kool-Aid three times daily (it helps gives my coat a healthy shine)
