Why don't they say something if the rumor has no merit?

Because it's probably no even on XM's radar yet. It's just here, there is NO confirmation on any other board ([another site] or SBS). Assuming Ryan's right, if the XM store has just temporarily run out of the only radio it's selling (the Roady XT) this this is just a coincidence.

If nothing else, is this the fastest four pages have ever appeared in a topic here? Wink

Then why are you claiming in the Off-Topic section in a post titled SELL YOUR STOCK NOW, that XM is pulling all FM-Mod receivers because of "an apparent design flaw"?????????

Please give the source of this rumor.

Yes, all we've got at this second is one flakey kiosk and an XM store web page.

That's not much on which to dump stock.

I'm just hoping that XM is able to sell portable units and have only stopped because of the lawsuit. I am expecting a Myfi from the warrenty center, I hope I get it now.

Read the last 5 pages; This is the source of the rumor.

Hell Yes, sell. If you are wrong you lose a couple bucks; but if you guess right you're $14 won't be $3.50 on Tuesday.

The lawsuit should have NOTHING to do with the receivers. The only reason to pull receivers is because of an FCC issue. Given that there's no third party confirmation, I'm sticking with the coincidence theory....

1. Kiosk manager screws up.

2. XM store temporarily runs out of stock on the XT.

I really think we've added two and two together and come up with five. Rolling Eyes

And if it goes to $3.50 I'm buying BIGTIME come Tuesday......

You're acting like it is a proven fact, when you are the one who came up with the rumor as indicated by your post link. I've been reading the last five pages and all we have is one kiosk employee who may be a complete moron, and a website that shows sold out, which may be that they have sold out, or that there is a system glitch. Computers and websites are known to have problems everyone once in a while. No need to jump out the window like a Chicken Little.

official word from XM is they voluntarily stopped selling the radios with the wireless FM mod at their kiosks and online store until the FCC gives them a decision. This info is from a director of retail marketing at XM.

This is their company decision regarding their own stores, and does not affect radio sales at any other stores.

Ok that makes sense, it sounds like Xm is CYA on this one, I think it is absolute BS! that XM is having to go through this crap.

Well, it's good to have something official, and frankly, that's a very rapid response. Thanks to XM on that.

However...given the goings-on of the past few weeks, this probably won't do the stock any good at all, thought I DON'T think we'll see $3.50! Laughing

I would like to find out who is really behind this lawsuit as there are people in the radio industry that hate the idea of satellite radio.

For me this is just further proof of the evilness that is CC (and of course the other big TerRad boys). Afterall, I don't see the bigwigs at CC (who have an investment in XM and want to see their investment do well...wink wink) jumping to the podiums and screaming "foul" on what is being done to SatRad.

You CC apologists can keep jumping to their aid if you want, the rest of us know CC is helping to try and push the dagger in the back of XM.
