I think that XM needs another rhythmic top 40 channel, but one that is uncensored. Currently, the only uncensored hip hop channels are Raw (which doesnt play mainstream music) and The Rhyme (who's playlist is really all over the place)
Maybe The City should become an xL channel.
Anyone agree??? |

The City should definately allow their songs to be uncensored, especially now that we have The Heat. |

I disagree. The Heat is a Rhythmic hits, a Pop channel that should play radio edits (censored) while The City is more Urban, therefore a uncensored status is more suitable. XM is about balance. |

Yes, it is a pop channel, but there are NO mainstream formats that are uncensored. Not Alternative, Top 40/CHR, and not Top 40/Rhythmic. I think that all of these genres deserve uncensored stations on top of the censored stations.
XM needs more bandwidth!! |

The Rhyme's playlist is pretty much pre-97 Hip Hop. I think they expanded it during the summer from pre-94.

Why should we have a censored and an uncensored channel. Delete the Heat and make the City XL. XM is a premium service like HBO, they don't need censored channels.

XM is also a service that targets all and not everyone needs to hear cusses.

I am so with The City becoming XL. I think we should voice our opinions about this to XM. I mean think about it......66 Raw is XL, but a lot of the mainstream hip hop isn't played on that channel. Instead, they have mostly uncensored album cuts with the harder edged hits on there uncensored. We wanna hear the hits the way they're suppose to be heard and that's uncensored and The Heat and The City aren't providing that. Since they have The Heat now, why not make The City uncensored, being that they both play the same things just about and one would be XL? It makes perfect sense. |

| I completely agree. Either the City or Heat should be uncensored. Just one of the not both. Isn't that one of the major points of satellite radio is no censorship or at least to not having the FCC breathin down your back. Or hey even better why not create a whole new station for Rap/hip hop. I mean thats a main feature that XM has over Sirius is that they have more channels correct. |

Not total music channels. More rap/hip-hop? I think they have the same.
