Ok:
I'm a Dallas Stars fan, and Robidas is one of my favorite defensive players. He is small, quick, and leads our team in hits. He got a two year extension due to his play on the ice this year.
What planet do you live on that Modano brought his stick around like he was cutting down a tree? That was one of the weakest slashes ever, and good for fucking Modano sticking up for his teammate. You make it sound like Modano was at a wrong here. Nashville better hope to fucking god they don't see Steve Ott and Matthew Barnaby in the postseason..

What planet do you live on
***That information is classified***
that Modano brought his stick around like he was cutting down a tree?
***The overhead view of "THE SLASH" doesn't do justice to seeing how far back Modano's swing started.***
That was one of the weakest slashes ever
*** After making contact with TooToo's back, the stick bent at least 30-40 degrees before snaping back to straight. NOT YOUR EVERY DAY RUN OF THE MILL SLASH.***
, and good for fucking Modano sticking up for his teammate.
***Sticking up for a teammate isn't the issue. Using your stick as a weapon is. Is there different places you're allowed to hit someone with your stick? You hit sombody in the face that's equal to: REST OF THE SEASON+PLAYOFFS+REVIEW AT THE START OF NEXT SEASON. You just about break your stick across a guy's back and...NOTHING?!***
You make it sound like Modano was at a wrong here.
***Here's the news: YOU CAN'T USE YOUR STICK AS A WEAPON, EVER. The only thing I have in this is the double standard that the NHL keeps applying to discipline it's players. Apparently the NHL agrees with you GFC. No harm, no foul. If TooToo had to be carried off on a stretcher, maybe then...?***
Nashville better hope to fucking god they don't see Steve Ott and Matthew Barnaby in the postseason.. |

It really didn't look that malicious to me, and Tootoo didn't even really flinch after the hit. Trust me, if Modano had driven the stick into his head, that would be a completely different situation. He hit the guy in his pads, I really don't think it was a big deal. What is Modano supposed to do after seeing a teammate get punched in the face?

Punch TooToo in the face? Just an idea.

Please! Mo is far too pretty to be getting into fisticuffs. After seeing Igilna get injured during a fight earlier in the season, I don't want any of our guys getting into fights this close to the playoffs.

I would also guess that Modano's setting the record that night had something to do with his not getting anything out of it.
Pretty?!
Modano?
Zetterberg makes my girlfriend all gooey,("Which one is Zetterberg again?"...Number 40 darlin').

I know the Stars owner was really pissed off that they didn't even announce that Modano had broken the record at the game.
