| Xm has obviously decided to offer the rebate for a few more days. The original period was June1 to July 7, now their website says June 1 to July 12. Will the rebate be permanent soon? |

welcome to XMFAN!
to answer your question, I'd bet they do make it a permanent thing, or just make the Skyfi a simple $99 anywhere, instead of messing with instant vs mail-in rebates. the H2A is $99 and it'd be silly to ask $129 for the SkyFi. they've made a ton of $$$$ on them to be able to justify the price drop. _________________ ~robert |

Thank you. This is a great site. I have been browsing XMFAN since I purchased my first shares.
One possible reason for doing the mail in rebate at this point, is to not cut into the retailers' profit on the Skyfis they already have in stock. Another possible reason for doing a mail-in rebate is that Delphi don't want to cut the price at this point. XM's management has always been very proactive, and I think they would have cut the price to $99 as soon as they heard about SIRI's PnP pricing. No matter what the reason is, the price needs to be lowered permanently and I hope that Dlphi will be just as proactive in the market place as XM is. |
