Damn it...

No more Cinemagic... (Well until next year...)

From XM's Website it says this...

Cinemagic - Sirius XM's channel that lets you Escape into the Movies - is currently on hiatus. Please join us again on January 2nd for more memorable moments from the Movies!

Cinemagic was a channel I listened to all the time.. Get rid of one of those SINGLE ARTIST CHANNELS that are not needed and we could have it back.

What an idiot decision. Does anyone have the name and phone number of who made this move? I'll like to share my feelings in detail and at some length with the cretin.

No wonder the stock is in the toilet with decisions like this being made.

It's not like this is a new practice. I suppose it hurts a bit more because it feels like it's getting piled on to the other, permanent, channel losses.

Was Cinemagic one of the channels that was sent on hiatus last year? Might not even be new for this channel.

Still, for those annoyed, at least it's coming back. That's more than we can say for most missing XM channels this morning.

I went to my car last night and noticed that cinemagic was not on. This morning I checked the lineup on Dish, they listed cinemagic and it was some sort of soundtrack song. Went out to my car this morning, still nothing. S@#@

Cinemagic has never gone on hiatus for holiday music. It will be returning on 1/1/09. I agree, dumb move. My brother, who is a Sirius person, was really looking forward to listening. Now he has to wait until New Years Day.

I for one will be going through Cinemagic withdrawal. I'm thankful I have some really good Cinemagic Moments saved on my radio.

I'm just so, so relieved that Cinemagic has made the cut. If having to be without it for a month and a half means keeping it forever then I'm all for it. I already took one hard loss this year when Dish Network ripped my beloved Monsters HD channel from its service. At least I got a win with this one.

It's only a channel. It's coming back. It was Cinemagic's turn this year. We wouldn't want to piss off the uPop and listeners of Chrome. Wait...

I just got off the phone with a CSR in India (or wherever - not the US) and said I had zero use for XM for six weeks. They said how about the next 3 months for $15? I said no dice. We finally settled on placing my account on hiatus until Jan 1 and no reactivation fee.

And people wonder why the stock is tanking.

With Cinemagic gone I'm one step closer to shitcanning XM. All its gonna take is for them to screw up O & A or Ron & Fez.

I hate Sirius.

The man responsible for screwing us for six weeks is Scott Greenstein.

"Scott Greenstein is President and Chief Content Officer of SIRIUS XM Radio, overseeing all of the satellite radio broadcaster's programming, marketing and corporate marketing activities."

Give Scott a call, (212) 584-5100, and share your thoughts on his decision to dump XM for six weeks.

I just switched to 76 and they currently have a low-quality voice loop playing saying that it will return in January, so... Question
